Ho scelto Budget a San Francisco cancellando la prenotazione Dollar, dopo aver letto le loro numerose recensioni negative. Con Budget mi sono trovato benissimo, personale cortese, procedure rapide (benché Budget non consenta di fare self cheking probabilmente ai clienti non US e questo é criticabile) avevo chiesto una Ford Mustang cabrio o similare, ho utilizzato una Chevrolet Camaro. Tutto molto bene.

Picked up the car at 8am on the 26 Dec and was pleasantly happy with the clean and well equipped car. The car comes with GPS and Android Auto/Apple Carplay.
The staff was friendly and very fast to hand over the car. Only issue is there is no intro to the car and the use of eToll which I have to figured it out myself.

obwohl online reserviert hatte ich den Eindruck, es hat den Service nicht interessiert was in der Reservierung stand. Also von A-Z alles durchgemacht, das dauert seine Zeit, kann man deutlich verbessern im Zeitalter von Online. Wer es eilig hat oder nur einen Tagestrip plant, kann schnell genervt sein. Natürlich einen ganz anderes Auto bekommen als bestellt, internationale Kreditkarte machte Schwierigkeiten, wollten eine andere haben... nach vier Versuchen funktionierte es dann.
Die Rückgabe war unkompliziert und sehr schnell.

Firstly I wanna start by saying there were some good things about my rental but the handful of bad things just ruined the overall experience.

The few bad things I have to point out being that when I picked up the vehicle there was not a full tank but I was told it is what it is but I MUST bring it back with a full tank or I will get charged and also have a fine added. When I returned the car on the receipt it stated out fuel level :17.0Gal fuel in 23.5Gal so I had to pay for an extra 6.5 Gal of gas that I do not feel I should have paid for.

Secondly I hired a “full size pick up truck” however after I dropped off the vehicle I found out I was actually given a mid sized pick up truck I found this out by mentioning to the guy who checked the vehicle back in that the other trucks seemed bigger than mine and he said “yes that is because they are full size and yours is a mid” I used to work for a rental company myself and giving a customer the wrong vehicle or and still charging to for vehicle they should have had is just wrong and has really disappointed me.

Now there were some good things I don’t want this review to be fully negative. Firstly the lady who served me what I picked up the vehicle was lovely and very friendly and can not fault her at all. Also the vehicle we did get was clean and modern (even though it should have been a different vehicle) and the location was close to the place I was staying.

Overall I would still suggest you hire here just make sure you are getting what you are actually paying for and ask for a fuel level report when picking up so you can drop off with the same level of fuel rather than paying for extra fuel.

They gave us an electric car but did not say a word about it - in fact the person checking us out did not say a single word at all! Nor did they inform us that the car has to be returned with a 75% charge level, we had to call budget to find that out. Since we were driving a pretty good distance to a pretty rural area, it was very inconvenient - if I didn't already have an electric car and know about plugshare it would have been really difficult! On top of that, they managed to mount the front license plate in a way that blocks the forward radar sensor, so every time you start the car you get an angry message about the safety features being disabled. I'm used to budget being awful and giving me half broken cars but this experience was really on another level.
