Booking made a day before and there were no cars available - should have expected especially given the other reviews here. The rating is because of the atrocious customer service of Michael (likely the manager of the branch) He was absolutely rude in his response (to the point it felt almost racist in not wanting to give us the car) The list showed that other customers before us had already collected their vehicles and he wanted to give it to the customers after us in the same list before offering any vehicles to us. What a waste of an entire morning, and an upsetting experience to say the least.

Quick tour on the car’s mechanics and refund of the deposit in less than 30 minutes besides advising us on how to pay tolls for the Golden Gate Bridge

I’ve never been more deeply dissatisfied with customer service than at this specific location. From someone that is very organized and punctual to everything, it’s to my surprise that the car rental company had no agent at the desk. The location is completely closed despite their hours of operations and as a result, now I am late for my next appointment. I paid for two Ubers to get to the location and from the location now that I don’t have a rental. I wasted money going back and forth. All customer service could do was refund me completely and escalate it to higher management but by the looks of these other reviews, they might just be a total loss. I wish they could reimburse me for the money I wasted on the Ubers. I’m sorry for those who are hoping for a smooth pick up.

This car rental place is definitely by far one of the worst we have been to. Stay away. The customer service was extremely rude when contacted by phone and worse when we went there in person. Car inventory was almost nil and consisted mostly of dented scratched cars. We raised a concern about the quality of the car being provided to us , to George the manager. However he condescendingly told us that we could not cancel our reservation and had to take whatever was provided which in our case was a dented Chevy Malibu. Within a few hours of driving the car we found out that it had engine issues which made the car not safe to drive. The process of getting a replacement took us time and messed up our vacation plans. Hertz should be ashamed to be affiliated with such a location. Interestingly the hotel Bonaventura had an issued statement on the premises that states they are not afiliated with the Hertz on location which is a big red flag and speaks to the quality of the service being provided.

Atendimento longe dos padrões da Hertz. Loja funciona apenas de 8h as 17h e não abre aos domingo. Tive que pagar $50 para devolver o carro no Vallet do hotel.
Sou membro President Circle na Hertz e informaram que nessa localidade não há nenhum benefício para membros.
Pior experiência de locação que já tive.

By far the worst experience I ever had with Hertz! Booked manager special from here to San Diego. But when I got there the only option is a half charged EV that covers less than 100 miles or pay EXTRA for an upgrade to a hybrid car. No gas cars, no fully charged EVs, no other options. I already paid a premium to drop the car 150 miles away but I can't even have a car that can cover that distance. This is just ridiculous. I was advised that I can find a charging station to charge it to full, ONLY take an hour or two. If you can't provide a car that can cover the distance then don't have it as an option. I end up having to pay extra for an upgrade to a hybrid car to get where I need to. The cherry on top, after I drove out, I realize the gas is not full. If you are traveling and on a time crunch, avoid this location at all cost.

As usual, Hertz website said that cars were available when they actually weren’t. I attempted to use Hertz here for the convenience, but this is just a reminder why I switched to Avis, rose to the President’s Club,and haven’t looked back.
Add in the clerk talking down to me as if I have zero clue of world events, and items easy to leave this review.

Booked my rental car with Hertz 2 months ahead and picked it up at this site. The service by the Hertz team here was nice and professional. From the time I showed up for pick up to driving the rental car out, it took us about 20 minutes. I am grateful that I was assigned a brand new Chevy Malibu. The return was eventless. There was no surprise charge to the final bill. Overall my rental experience here was satisfactory. Thank you Hertz rental team here!
