We celebrated our wedding at Villa Catureglio in 2022, and it was truly beyond our dreams. The service was exceptional, and the villa’s location in the stunning Tuscan countryside, surrounded by rolling hills, left us in awe. Every detail was taken care of, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We couldn’t recommend Villa Catureglio more highly for anyone seeking an unforgettable experience in an incredible setting.

We got married at Villa Catureglio three weeks ago and had a dream wedding with 85 friends and family (maximum capacity for an indoor seated meal is ~120). We visited the property in May (after putting down the deposit), confirming we had made the right choice. Getting to know the property and layout, in addition to visiting our caterer, hairstylists, makeup artists, and the florist were invaluable.

The venue is stunning: secluded land with outstanding views of the Tuscan hillsides and small villages in the distance. We were a bit worried that the site was too remote, but decided this allowed guests to see more of Italy. We arranged for shuttles to take guests not staying at the villa to and from Lucca, a charming large town about 25 minutes away by car. This worked out great.

On the property, there’s character and charm everywhere you look. Aside from the two pools, we particularly liked the multiple structures (several cottages with their own kitchens, sleeps ~41 total) and the understated decor - this isn’t Versailles and they’re not trying to be. The chapel provided the perfect backdrop to exchange vows. The grounds are well-manicured too, with magnolias, cypress, olive, and lemon trees. All of this is carefully maintained by a small, friendly team. Continental breakfasts and a (more substantial) brunch were delicious.

Our wedding planner, Laura Ferrari, was amazing to work with! She knows the villa well from her role as the lead wedding planner, and also from the bride’s perspective, having been married here herself a couple years ago. Laura is a true professional and genuinely cared about us and our wishes for having a memorable, fun weekend. She was organized, responsive, and thoughtful - offering advice when we couldn’t decide, but allowing us the time and space to make decisions for ourselves. Her Rolodex of suppliers / vendors is deep, matching a range of budgets and styles. Many of our vendors were local, which made us feel like we were supporting the local economy and working with people who had a vested interest in helping throw a successful party.

A stunning venue in a beautiful part of Italy.

As a photographer who's seen many beautiful venues I was very impressed by Villa Catureglio. To start the grounds are beautiful and spacious, perfect for finding pretty locations for photos but honestly everywhere you look is lovely. The main building has wonderful 13th century features and the way the light comes into the rooms is gorgeous. It sleeps 16 but if you'd like more family or guests to stay there is also the cottages which sleep 25 in total.

You can have your ceremony outside under the cypress trees and there's even a little chapel too. During the drinks reception guests can mingle in the courtyard before heading through to the olive grove for the wedding breakfast, and then the barn to party the night away. The next day you can wake up and catch up around the pool with mountain views, the perfect place to tell tales of the day before.

I'd highly recommend Villa Catureglio to anyone!

We have just recently returned from our wedding in Italy, Borgo a mozzano at villas Catureglio and I can't even begin to describe how fantastically amazing it was! The location was stunning, the accomodation is just beautiful - it's traditional Italian. The views from the bedrooms are stunning. There are two pools on site and plenty of grounds to have a look around. I would recommend getting a car if you want to travel and have a look around. The nearest airport is Pisa and it is very easy to find Catureglio from there. We used the services of Kate as wedding planner and nothing was ever too much trouble for her. She was always prompt with emails and made sure everything was in order. The hair dresser and make up artist she recommends are fantastic and did a beautiful Job on my bridesmaids and myself. The caterer was amazing and the wedding cake is the best cake I've ever had! Definitely worth getting! The whole day went without a glitch and was perfect in every way. The photographer Francesco Rossi is also definitely recommended - his photos are just perfect and really captured the day. The band Guty and Simone were also fantastic and had everyone dancing from the first song! I would whole heartedly recommend this wedding venue as the best place ever to get married - the memories Jon and I have of our day will last a lifetime. It truely waa a special day made perfect by Kate and her team.

This place is an absolute dream! We visited for our friends' wedding and it couldn't have been more perfect. The views are stunning. All the buildings have an unmatched level of charm. The on-site staff is friendly and helpful. Two pools! Book it now!
