We found this hotel from the reviews, and we are not disappointed. I love supporting local family owned businesses. They are currently remodeling and updating, We are looking forward to coming back to experience the finished areas. Until then the concierge Ms Stephanie creates a warm and welcoming environment making sure that we were accommodated and comfortable. Vernon's Kitchen is the same, friendly and attentive.

*The rooms are clean and function as Intended* we slept well, beds are comfortable, rooms feel safe. Strong water pressure, my 10 year old said it's like a power wash ?

Honorable mention to Selena quick positive interaction ?.

Personal opinion : I feel every home and hotel should have bidet seats .

A group of middle to senior aged friends left SW Kansas on motorcycles in route to San Antonio. Researching hotels in Abilene for an overnight stay, we found the Whitten Inn was on our route, close to the Harley Davidson store, had great reviews and was so reasonable priced. When arriving, we were tired and hot. We were welcomed by the staff and check in was easy. After checking in we were surprisingly informed that there was free beer for happy hour. BONUS! We enjoyed the outdoor pool with beer in hand and the relaxing atmosphere. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with everything homemade and delicious. We were asked several times throughout our stay if we needed anything or if we were enjoying out stay. I would highly recommend the Whitten Inn to anyone traveling to Abilene. It doesn't have a fancy name but the service was impeccable!

Clean room with a comfortable bed! Older hotel that recently changed ownership that is undergoing updates! Very nice front desk and excellent cook (Vernon) for breakfast. He was very friendly and accommodating. There were a few minor issues including no signs indicating where rooms were located in the maze of hallways. It was an adventure finding ice! All said and done we would definitely stay there again!

We had a group of 9 traveling from Garden City, Kansas on 5 motorcycles. Our destination was San Antonio for a fall ride. Our stay at this hotel was perfect. We rode in very hot weather so once we got settled the free cold beer and pool was just the ticket for us. The breakfast was very good and the variety was nice. They were in the middle of many nice new updates at this hotel. We would stay here again.

Motel impeccable, propre, chambre spacieuse et équipée (réfrigérateur, micro-ondes, air conditionné, wifi). Parking sur place disponible et gratuit. Piscine extérieure très agréable. Petit-déjeuner assez varié. Happy hour proposé avec bière et vin. Personnel accueillant et sympathique. Vaste choix de restauration à proximité. Je recommande sans soucis.

Great experience! They have updated and continuing to update. Don't worry, I didn't hear any construction noise and it was very peaceful. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was one of the best I've seen. I travel constant for work (10 months out of the year). I walked on the carpet in the room and my socks stayed clean, no sticky feeling at all. They are pet friendly, and have nice walking areas for your pets. I didn't see any doggy bag stands, but I may have missed them. I carry my own anyway. I was very impressed. The bed and pillows were great as well as the shower pressure and temp. They have a guest laundry room. And the staff are very friendly and appreciative. While we work in this area for a while I will be returning here for my stays. The rates are also great. It's a large hotel. Amenities: guest laundry, outdoor lounging area, outdoor pool, great breakfast buffet with lots of options, nicely kept courtyard and parking area. In the rooms: coffee maker, mini-frig, hair dryer, iron and board, and soft towels. I'm so glad this hotel was recommended to me.

They definitely traded up on the new venue. Much bigger, great pool area and spacious dining area. But here's the best part: some of our guys, after working all night were coming in as breakfast was finishing. But instead of closing shop they extended it so our guys could enjoy a great breakfast! And as if that wasn't enough hospitality, after working all night the next evening they accommodated us with a late check out so we could shower and freshen up for our long drive home! Fantastic service!

First time staying here and it was great! It's being quietly renovated. I didn't hear any construction noise... very peaceful. The room was spacious and very clean. Microwave, mini-frig with a decent sized freezer, hair dryer, small keurig style coffee maker, iron and board. The bed was very comfy (not squishy and not hard... perfect) as well as the pillows. I took plenty of photos. They have an outdoor pool and a very nice outdoor lounging area. The breakfast was one of the best I've seen at a hotel. Lots of choices and fresh! The staff are very friendly and appreciative. We'll be working the area for quite a while and will definitely make this a go-to! The rates are great as well. I was highly impressed, which, for those who follow my reviews know, I'm not easily impressed. Although the sofa bed in the room was very decent and clean, they are systematically changing the furniture and window coverings in each room. By the way....yes,I walked on the carpet in the room with my socks and they stayed clean. No sticky, no black on my socks!
